"That is none of your business." Ayama said.

"I wont when you can." Elizabeth said. "Stop being melodramatic. Give me your wounds one by one and you will be healed in no time."

Miranda looked out at them weakly.

"Its what she called me." Kill replied. "As someone who relies on fake personas I wonder the weight of this name. Its something I want to know but you don't need to tell me. Again, you don't know me at all." Kill replied as he moved forward with his gun.

Rain grinned. "The more I get in your head the harder it is to get out."

---

"Medical provisions will be available immediately to Miranda. I have been ordered by her father to retrieve her but I'm not sure where my leaders intention lies." The voice replied.

People moved forward and took Miranda from Jiasca and began to clean her and give her IV's.

Miranda, as soon as she heard mention of her father, began to struggle.

"Like what you see?" Elizabeth asked.

---

Ayama called Amaterasu down, along with another man.

"Why are you struggling? I believed you didn;t want to stay with us and wanted to go home." Liquid moved forward and immediately the guns were raised to his head and he backed away.

Euchre growled.

"Can we kill them sir?" A soldier asked. "Nothing is stopping us from eliminating a problem."

"No..." The voice said immediately. "One of them is holding a high impact grenade. Killing her will loosed her grip and set it off. We don't have an advantage. We have a stalemate."

Jiasca smiled and held out a grenade the size of a grapefruit.

The soldiers in the room back away but continued to aim at her.

"You heard your boss. Kill me and I blow you to pieces. Even if he did command you to do it you would begin to question his actions and leadership capabilities. Basically you would become a problem to him." Jiasca replied.

The medics continued to try and treat Miranda as she struggled.

"Some memories are nice and I wish I had experiences like yours but I don't believe you would like me to become you." Rain replied.

"Your head is like a maze. Kind of empty-" He joked. "But filled with information."

Kill turned. "Whats happening?"

Miranda eventually gave up struggling.

Elizabeth frowned. "Just for that empty comment I will not allow you to give me youir powers. now go get healed and stop being such a baby."

"We're visiting another base further down. It has a hospital there. They have infomation." Ayama said.

Can you hear me Miranda? Liquid gave her a smirk. As I thought... Your power resembles someone else's but I cannot talk about that as of now... You have a very simple choice presented in front of you and only you can change anything happening within this room. You aren't even seen as important by this man but you can reveal to him your potential. I am not telling you to join me or save us but what I ask is for you too finally choose something that you want. That you believe is right. Your a wild card in a game of chess. A piece that has a power to finally eliminate all the pieces that finally need to be eliminated from this world including me. All I ask is for a difference. I know my future but is yours truly with your father?

Liquid put his hand on his pistol and the whole room moved. "I'm asking for an answer. Now what is it?"

Euchre looked at Miranda worriedly. He looked around at all the men in the room and than finally at Miranda. Would everything end now? Like this? What were they doing with Miranda? She wanted to get away from them. He wanted them to get away from her. He wanted to move. He could try. At least use his life to give her a chance to get away.

"I'm fine. Just be careful. All I kept thinking about was saving your daughter. I don't want that implanted into my head." Rain said as he ruffled his hair as if loosening the idea from his mind.

"What kind of information?" Kill asked as he began to move.

"My answer is this." Miranda said as she sat up slowly. She closed her eyes and pictured every being who was forcing her down and wanting to take her to her father in the room being engulfed by flames. As she thought it began to happen and as it happened, she began to heal.

"My daughter is safe." Elizabeth said. "At least for now."

"About how next kill."

The voice on the table screamed in agony as it barked out orders.

The people in the room burst in flames and screamed in agony. Liquid fired rounds at those who tried to use their weapons and fired a shot at the chair which held a dead boy with a radio clinging from it. The dead man's face was lined with markings and as the radio began to die Liquid heard the last words.

"You won't win."

It disappeared. Liquid grabbed Miranda and began to head outside.

"She will always be safe. As long as she remains with you." Rain told Elizabeth.

Kill just silenced. He wondered what these people wanted and even if they cared. He could hold his own but wondered how much he could live.

Miranda passed out. That amount of brain power was too much.

Elizabeth nodded

"Shit." Liquid mumbled as Euchre grabbed her. "We got to get out of here and we cannot turn too others. We might have more traitors and those who haven't been betrayed I will warn."

Jiasca helped pull them out of harms way.

"Nothing to do but get some rest. If you have any questions about us just ask." Ari said nonchalantly.

Elizabeth remained silent.

Miranda was still out.

"We understand. We wont demand you to do anything." Ari replied.

"Shes not moving!!" Euchre cried out.

"Well she finally focused and killed about twenty well-armed men in a room instantly. Any person would be exhausted. I personally didn't believe that would work but it far exceeded my expectations." Liquid replied as he jumped into a vehicle. He ushered them in and began to drive. They bursted out onto the street and Jiasca began to try and wake Miranda.

When Miranda finally did awake, the first thing she did was let out a pained scream. "Fucking bitches..." She swore, holding her head.

"You're damn right you wont." Elizabeth said. "Everyone has done enough."

"Your fine. Your vitals are going back to normal levels but you stressed yourself out a lot." Jiasca replied in the truck.

Euchre looked over her worriedly.

"Sorry." Jin'ichi said from the doorway.

"Did I do the right thing?" Miranda asked.

Elizabeth looked up at him.

"I am not the one to decide that for you but you did react as I wanted." Liquid replied. "I won't lie to you. We would have died or been captured without your intervention. The only problem you have created is for your father and I believe he will find you much more interesting from now on."

Euchre and Jiasca both looked over Miranda too make sure she was fine.

A computer pushed its way into the ball room. Lee was having another of his famous luncheons but it was soon going to be disturbed. The computer made its way to Lee's seat and revealed its monitor towards him. It flashed blue and numerous numbers 13 before revealing the video of Miranda setting people ablazed. The small monitor made it hard for any others too see and the guests didn't seem to notice it.

"Currently trying to fine answers to this situation but I will have more men immediately locate her. She is accompanied by Liquid but he didn't set my men alight. If you have any further questions or commentary request me when you need me. Number 1313." The computer simply turned off and began to head away.

"You alright?" He asked.

Ari grabbed Katsu and Rain and began to exit the room.

"I'm fine." Miranda snapped at the two of them. "Leave me be."

Lee swore before standing. he excused himself from the party before calling his head scientist.

"I'm fine." Elizabeth said. "Are you okay?"

Liquid gave her a bottle of water and slowed the truck down to a halt. "I'm going to answer your question now and you will answer mine shortly..." Liquid turned and faced her. "Did you do the right thing?" Liquid repeated. He froze as he actually thought about the answer. His face seemed to remove any form of coldness and anger and he carefully looked her in the eye. "I don't believe I've ever actually been asked such a difficult question in my life." Liquid replied as he closed his eyes. "But I believe... That yes, you did the right thing." Liquid replied as he reopened his eyes and focused on her. "I don't believe it was right because you saved me but because you saved your friend. I believe it was right because you stood up for what you wanted and not for what your father wanted and I finally believed it was right because you, yourself, knew it was right." Liquid looked at her for a few more moments and finally turned. "I guess I could say I never thought someone would choose something right when they could get something else they wanted." Liquid whispered. "If you have any comments feel free but I want you to answer my question when you are finished. I'll also understand if you don't want to answer this question in front of me or the others but ask me when you are ready."

Hykos murmured. 'A damn meeting now?? What was urgent enough to call him from his labs?" Hykos quickly dressed himself and entered his vehicle. Once he saw Lee's name on the monitor he knew something drastic was happening. He quickly went to Lee's location and soon realized he was being followed by 13. That damned general wouldn't mind anyone's business but now he knew something had gone wrong.

"Fine. Shocked about one thing but that has nothing to do with bullets or bruises." Jin'ichi moved and bit his lip when he felt his side ache. "I believe I've been better. Feels like the time I tried to steal Katsu's lunch. That man would devour my arm if I hadn't stopped him." Jin'ichi joked.

"I killed numerous people in that room." Miranda said. "People with homes and families, not mindless robots and for what? So we could keep running and so i would have to do it again some day. They weren't robots, they were people. How can anything be right while people die?"

Lee paced his office as he went over the fact sheets for project 4.0. This shouldn't have happened, not so early on.

Elizabeth noddedslowly

"Those weren't people. They did not have families. Not even homes. I study that general ridiculously and what you did was free them. His army is vastly different than the others in your city. He believes he can take anyone and make them into soldiers. Most of the people in there were either prisoners or homeless people. They did not volunteer but are forced into those actions with devices that will kill them otherwise. The more they comply the longer the brace will allow them to live. The more they resist, the shorter their life." Liquid replied. "He is a worthless terrorists and one you showed can be easily tricked and defeated. Now I do not want to run anymore. I'm tired of it as well and I do not want you to continuously kill if you do not believe it is right that is why I want to present you a choice." Liquid turned the car slightly and the view of a large city came into view. "If you want to return I am giving you the choice. Unfortunately I believe you cannot take Euchre with you. You can try I just don't suggest it. I can also take care of him but I believe you wouldn't approve. Its your call." Liquid replied. "You can drive this vehicle there easily."

Hykos and the monitor with the number 13 entered the room. It flashed the word blue but immediately returned to the letter 13.

"You wanted to see me sir?" Hykos asked.

"I am sorry about this." Jin'ichi said softly. "All of this..." Jin'ichi frowned and rummaged though his clothes. "If your still hungry I saved this as well." It was the box of food they were sharing. "Just in case."

"I can't just leave him." Miranda said. "When I took him out ofthe cell he became my responsibility."

"You said until she was 25." Lee said. "That we had until she was 25."

---

Elizabeth shook her head

"Its simply your choice." Liquid reminded her. "I'm freely letting you choose."

---

"I haven't integrated it with her yet! The serum has barely moved on from its pre stages! The only people who had access to it were 13, Olga and Dram." Hykos replied.

"I only needed the information stored in my systems. After that I safely threw away the product." The monitor replied.

"What? That serum costs more than your army!" Hykos growled.

"My army is supposed to be cost efficient. Your serum was for one person as of yet." The monitor replied.

Hykos growled. "That only leaves Olga and Dram than but she shouldn't be able to survive such dosage. She had to mature enough. 25 is the perfect age. I would never recommend anything lower. I have no idea how she could control it now."

Jin'ichi frowned and sat it down and looked at Ariel.

"You're maths must have been off." Lee said. "She was created just for this, for use as a weapon. She's only in her 16th year of creation and- 13, show him what you showed me."

Miranda shook her head. "I can't go back now."

---

Ariel looked up at him slowly.

"Yes sir." The monitor turned toward Hykos and he watched with interest. His eyes widened and he turned back. "This should be impossible. No one should survive that. Only a handful have ever taken that amount of shock." Hykos replied as he continued looking. He saw Liquid in the background. "Liquid's involved but I'm sure he never took the serum but for him to have knowledge and interest in her is worrisome." Hykos continued to think. "I don't know who administered her to this. I gave her trace amounts to get her prepared in the future but nothing to do anything like this. Even when Liquid was a child he never revealed something at this rate and he was bred to become what he was supposed to be. Your daughter is a good subject but I don't have what I once had... I don't understand how she could break through all her mental walls to do such a thing. It must be painful."

Hykos finished viewing. "Either way her being involved in all of this isn't good. This serum is created for her so it matches her perfectly. It could have changed or something must have happened."

"Why? All this time you were asking. Desperately seeking to return to the cage you've lived all your life." Liquid replied. "What has changed now?" Liquid asked.

"You ok?" Jin'ichi asked as he rubbed Ariel's head.

"I want Dram brought in." Lee said into his intercom. "Now."

"Right away sir." A female voice said as she sent the call out to the general.

Lee turned back to the others. "Whatever happened, I don't care. What I care about now is containing her and bringing her home. Find a way to do this."

"You damn well know whats changed!" Miranda snapped at him as her eyes blazed. "Stop trying to fucking desperitly to get inside my head and know everything. I said I can't and that is my damn answer."

Ariel shook her head and buried her face into her mothers chest.
