"Who is the scientist who created me?" Miranda asked.

"Not trying to be interesting." James said.

"I thought these fuckers were just going to leave it." Ayama said. "They should have learned by now."

"His name is doctor Strange. He originally created the project and made you a clone of your mother until he abandoned the project and disappeared. Hykos was then hired to finish you. Your lucky I convinced him to do this. Strange had planned on implementing heavy handicaps upon you to make sure you would not betray buy Hykos believed it would have harmed you and make you much less successful." Liquid replied. "Of course you still have the die virus within you but not much can change that."

Steele just shook her head. "I don't know what I am going to do with you." She pressed her hand against her temple.

"They are determined." The man replied. "This city was known as the Turtle because of its impenetrable defense but the league will show much power if they take this over. Also their military is a whole country even the largest cities can't defend against those numbers."

"I'm gonna have to meet this man." Miranda said.

"Place me somewhere and let me look pretty?" James grinned.

"I wasn't actually looking for an answer." Ayama said.

Liquid pulled out a map of the world "Not many people are as dangerous as I am. Hunting him down is nearly impossible especially if he will have no desire in meeting you." Liquid scrolled his hand until he stopped over a place called Torgtuga. "Spanish for Turtle, he was at this city the last I heard of him continuing some radical experiments. I've heard its become a Hell hole after the invasion the league has led."

"It's a shit storm." Turk replied. "We sent our largest ever assault on the city. We have heard of its defenses and were ridiculously prepared for that task. I was actually sent to offer assistance there until we ran into some problems of course."

"I also know Ayama is there. No idea why but me and her have an understanding. I don't know if we will honor it or may annihilate one another. I don't particularly like her thieves guild and she doesn't particularly like the remnants of the Core army I assembled. We generally have good terms since we understand eachother and we both came from the same projects but we haven't seen eachother in ages and if she has suffered like I have the disease is already probably making her unstable." Liquid leaned back. "I can help you towards the city since we have routes and camps watching the onslaught. Now why do you want to see this man?" Liquid asked as he looked up at her from the map.

"Your like the legends so many people have about you. Still faceless in front of certain destruction." The man replied. "Let us hope you have some weight in those words." The vehicle stopped at an incline of the city. "We have to do one thing before we leave. We are certain we can escape and don't worry we can do this ourselves." The Alundra began pushing a large crate outside of the vehicle as it opened the back. The man began working on a computer as the box began to emit noises from inside it.

The Alundra had a patch on her arm that had the initials NCA.

"What do you mean by that?" She mused.

"Have you noticed you tend to ramble before getting to your point?" Miranda asked.

Ayama frowned.

"It's an affect from the virus. You will get used to it but it will take a toll on your mind." Liquid replied. "You act is if you expect me to be normal. So why do you wish to see Strange?"

"We are caving in this city. Not yet, but once we believe as many people as possible has escaped and the league begins to settle in we will set off enough of these v2 rockets to destroy the roof of this place and destroying one of the largest armies the league has. We have others doing the same." The man replied as he finished his calibrations.

Steele poked James with her sword.

"I expect you not to jump from one subject to another like a monkey to trees." Miranda said.

Ayama sighed. "Whatever."

"Well do you want me.to accompany you?" Liquid replied, ignoring her comment.

"Never satisfied as well?" The man looked at Ayama.

"I got this." Miranda said.

"Its a curse." Ayama said.

"I don't believe it will be wise for you to go alone. If you want to meet Strange you'll need more then this." Liquid replied.

"We call it forever war." The man replied. "We will lead you out immediately." He replied.

"Well, I don't want to go with you." Miranda said.

Ayama nodded

"I don't think you have much of a choice. Strange is insane. He has physically combined humans together, has grown organs inside people to sell or use in more creations, he was the man who originally kidnapped around 300,000 infants to become experiments for the U.N. I just don't believe you can simply walk up to this man especially if he has no want of meeting you of course I won't give him an option." Liquid looked at her.

"I can arrange us to be in different vehicles as far away as you want but currently it is nearly impossible since the C.D.C. are about to collapse the city with explosives. We will have to save him if you want to talk but expect it to be difficult."

The Alundra walked back inside and they began to drive out of the underground city.

(Alright just bruised up.)

Miranda watched as a man sat in a cell. He held his head in his hands as he looked up across the bars of his cell to the person in the other. It was again, Liquid. He looked beaten and had aged from the previous memory. Miranda watched as Liquid clasped his hands together and took a deep breath and looked back at the other man.

"Don't do this to me, don't give up." Liquid replied through his cage as the person continued to thread his sheets together into a rope. "We can live."

"It isnt living Liquid, it isn't when we simply exist." The young man replied as he continued to do his task.

"We need to defeat Strange, not be defeated by him." Liquid replied. "All of your soldiers lives will be in vain if you simply give in."

The man stopped and pushed a cement block in the middle of his room.

"Even if I fought, I would have to kill the people I once called allies... You saw what Strange did to them... They aren't even recognizable." The man began to tie the makeshift rope around his neck.

Liquid grabbed the bars and cursed. He tried to get his fingers through the bars looking for a way to escape. He growled and removed his hand. He took a piece of cloth from his clothing and bit into it as he broke his hand and forced it through the bars to reach towards the man.

The man just looked at Liquid and shook his head as he touched Liquid's hand and tied the rope to a hole in the ceiling and let go.

Liquid watched as the body spawned and moved. He waited until it ceased and sighed and began to slam his hand against the ground angrily. His hand becoming deformed with each hit.

"I don't care if Strange realizes who I am.... I'm going to kill him." Liquid replied as he spoke to the frozen body as his hand began to reassemble itself.

The other Liquid looked at Miranda as she watched this memory. His expression not changing as the event unfolded.

"Strange, is no person to take lightly. I have nearly killed him and he has done nearly the same to me." Liquid coughed.

"I can show you much more if you'd like but I don't want to stress you and your emotions can make you very deadly with your powers so it may not be wise to stay in my mind." He said simply.

Liquid began to stumble and grabbed at his head. He leaned over as his memories began to zoom past them. Memories of murder, war, violence, rebellion, spying it seemed to go on as it froze to one single moment. Liquid stood with his body beaten and his limbs shaken. Across from him sat another man. Standing over a surgical table as the light over his head cast his shadows across the room.

"I need it." Liquid replied as he took a step forward. "We need that cure."

The man lowered his lenses and looked up at Liquid. "The specimen is damaged. All I can acquire is a small sample and seeing how you barely survived Radec's onslaught ornate be the only one you may retrieve."

Liquid looked over as he heard child laughter in the shadows.

"If we didn't share the same goals I would never give this to you." Strange replied as he handed the bottle to Liquid. "I have no idea how you will get this to Miranda. I designed her to die within the next few days. Lee doesn't know, it would be impossible to cure and she is a failed experiment. It will be insane for you to get into that city."

"I will hire some mercenaries to cause some terrorist attacks in the city and give it to Dram. He will have to give it to her somehow so she can live." Liquid replied.

"Trust a general? Are you sure you will risk this chance of curing yourself once and for all for a child who understands nothing of this situation?" Strange asked.

"We must have some future and it is definitely not with the characters of the past." Liquid gripped the serum.

The body on the table began to move.

Strange grinned as Liquid looked over.

"How did you get this?" Liquid asked.

"Simple... I must use the source..." Strange walked over to the table.

"But Miranda's mother was the only source." Liquid replied as he began to move forward.

"Exactly." Strange replied as a wall settled between them.

Liquid cursed and began to smash against the wall.

"Accomplish what you set out to do." The voice said behind the wall. "I will kill you if you try and take her from me."

The memory stopped and Liquid and Miranda were in a dark space. Liquid had returned to his semi normal self. He looked at her to see her reaction. "I didn't want you to know this way... But it is true. I started those attacks on your city to save you. I sacrificed curing myself to cure you."

A young boy and girl ran across the bridge as the horns sounded throughout the city. The girl looked stopped at the waters edge as the boy shouted excitedly. The large ships moved slowly out of the harbor. Their entirety being a small chunk of the city. Bells continued to shine as the boats moved outward, towards the sea.

"The navy is beginning its run. They will be at the isles shortly." A voice replied as the man walked along the room. A giant pane of glass separating them from the commotion.

"I expect as much. With the winter coming close we will be fighting for resources. The League has already gave us enough trouble and Lee won't do anything unless it pleases the rich." The man replied as he looked opposite from the port and into his compound. His soldiers pouring ice on one another and yelling military chants as they trained.

The man seemed a bit amused. "This is hoe you build an army, not around money, or technology but with brute strength, efficiency and best of all... Terror." He replied.

"I have had enough of you invading my mind." Miranda growled at him. "I have had enough of you sharing your memories to try and manipulate me to do what you want. I have been prodded and pulled and nipped and tucked my whole life! I don't need it anymore! That woman is no longer my mother. I don't have a mother! I just have someone I was molded to resemble."

((Can I control her mother?!))

"You act as if it my choice." Liquid grabbed his skull and looked at her. "I'm not manipulating you but I am warning you. No reason to visit Strange yet. His location is under attack by League forces I guarantee will be decimating the city at this point. Also, you are your mother. Technically everything she is, maybe a bit less intelligent but age grows wisdom so again that could just be because of slight differences."

"I think Ayama will have more problems with that man." Liquid replied.

"What shall we do?" Strange asked the small boy beside him as the sound of eruptions began to edge closer. "Ayama has kept our most vital experiments safe and the rest I have tried to save but I do not know if we are able to escape." He questioned.

(Yes you can.)

Miranda sighed and ran a hand through her hair.

"Can I press the red button now?" The boy asked as he bounced in his seat.

"What did you make it do?" Strange raised an eyebrow on his subject.

"At least your like your mother." Liquid replied.

"Knock out gas." The boy grinned evilly. "Only it can get past gas masks!"

"Why is that a good thing?" Miranda asked

"What is the point of that?" Strange asked while raising his eyebrow.

"Because that means you do have a chance of living." Liquid replied as he began to mess with a blade in his hand. "Well, I probably shouldn't tell you this but your dad is going to go through a lot of hell in moments soon. He will lose the generals he hated so much but also the people unless he tightens his control and the more he does the easier it will be to defeat him."

"Well, we knock out the soilders. Then we use them for more experiments." The boy grinned.

"You're an idiot and I hate you." Miranda said

"I don't think you've ever like me..." Liquid grumbled as sirens began wailing around them. Soldiers began to run around quickly as the sirens seemed to scream in panic. Liquid looked at Miranda and shook his head. "We stayed here too long." He began to look though his bag and tossed Miranda a revolver and a box full of ammo. "I did the same to your mom once. She kept that gun." He pointed before reloading his handgun and opening the flap of the tent. The sirens continued to keep blaring as a storm began to hover over them crackling with lightning.

Steele ran out and looked around as she stared into the sky and asked one of her men what was happening.

"We don't know..." The soldier replied as he looked at the storm. "We just know that all communications past this storm have fallen silent... We have taken this as a threat and have been given orders to hold anything off." He replied as he ordered other troops on the mounted guns and hurried himself over to a vehicle.

Steele cursed and looked at the storm as the day continued to dark into a grey and a few rain drops began to fall. She ran over to the wall and climbed the stairs to reach the top of the barricade. Another soldier held binoculars in front of her as she spotted the distance.

"Anything?" Steele asked as she looked over the land before her.

"A lot..." She replied as she pushed the binoculars into Steel's hands and began to call for reinforcements and ordered more troops to strengthen and hold the camp.

Steele stared into the binoculars and looked over into the distance. Multiple figures were climbing over a hill. They were very distant but Steele could make up the details of soldiers but they did not appear to be of Core, Federation or even the Borderland's standards but as Steele continued to watch she only realized that the number continued to grow and the mass of bodies did not seem to move any slower.

She continued to watch before she eye one last detail and froze.

"Alias... The former king of thieves..."

Two clouds of darkness continued to circle him as he continued to move his army of mindless heathens forward. The dead who had been infected were under his command and even greater he could force them to do what he pleased. He continued to march them forward as a woman walked next to him feeding the crows seeds as they also picked off all the corpses.

The woman looked at the clouds that followed them and back at Alias who's rags covered the entirety of his face with only one metallic eye in the front which were attached with tubes which led to a place only Alias knew. Alias also wore an old decimated suit which only made her at edge.

Another person walked behind them. He wore a fedora and chains hung from his wrists as his trench coat kept his body hidden. His green eyes giving an eager look as the dead moaned around him.

The last person held her arm in the air as the clouds seemed to have emanated from her. She wore a metallic visor and her suit was badly damaged but she carried on and held in place with everyone else.

The woman with the crows began to talk. "We have four of the major six cities in the borderlands covered... Since we could not contact Ayama we settled with the previous leader of the city of thieves, we also are grateful that the leader of new haven for fallen soldiers appeared and the city of traitors. I'll represent my city of the genetically enhanced." She replied as she looked at the woman who held the storm above their heads. "I still consider you to try and join our ranks."

The other woman grinned and shook her head. "I still have my soldiers to worry about."

"The other two cities have been shaken and their respective leaders could not help us so we sent all our reinforcements to help them and only sent a number of us to the front lines to die?" The man with the fedora spat. "Sounds like an idiotic idea."

"We can at least stall their advancement. You and I still have reserves Hazama and with what Alias said he could make these creatures fight like soldiers and we already have seen the destruction at those outposts."

"Tsk, those were outposts Raven... Even I could have taken those." He replied.

"To use my power to this extreme... Even you would be afraid to go to such lengths." Alias warned Hazama as they continued walking.

Hazama nodded. The strain on Alias could kill him fifty times over but what made him able to do so. "Can you keep that Storm up, X?" Hazama asked as they moved forward.

X just smiled as her braided hair followed her along. "I've been through worse... I was a prototype to mix technology with genetically enhanced subjects. As far as I know I'm the only one who exists in such a state." She replied. "Of course I will show the League how successful this project really was."

Steele frowned and began to open numerous amount of vehicles and yelled at the soldiers. "No regulations and no orders. Kill anything that is not within this camp and use of illegal weapons are now authorized." She replied as soldiers began to pack up and some began to mount mortars and cannons.

Liquid grinned and ushered Miranda out of the tent. "You can leave as you have always done but your past will always catch up with you."

Strange nodded. "Go ahead than."

Miranda turned and punched him hard in the face before walking off to find Steele. "Don't endanger your people." She told them. "Send me, okay? Just me."

The boy grinned and rushed off. He pressed the red button

Liquid spat out blood and smirked. "I think you have a common misconception of my people. They aren't here by force they are here by choice. We had to retreat when we weren't going to be a part of that." Liquid pointed over the walls. The hill which first revealed the enemy army was now covered in black by the troops. "We also cannot send you. Those people are here to annihilate the League. They don't care if you are the daughter of Lee." Liquid replied.

Steele shook her head. "When we studied your powers you were at your limit. This would be insane and it is not of your problems. We will use any and all vehicles to transport the civilians out of this area."

"But the safest point is miles away." A solider replied.

"We fight till then." Steele replied to the soldier and looked at Miranda. "I don't know who you are and the questions can be saved for later. One of my commands told me all about you and you may be an asset but it'd be foolish to just send you out there especially against them." Steele replied. "I thought you would be one who despised the League. If you wish you can be transported but this is why I am out here. For situations exactly like this."

Strange followed slowly.
