Miranda held onto Drams hand tightly as she tried to work through the pain.

"I'll answer anything you ask." Geoff said.

Lee sighed as he stepped off the stage. He looked to Elizabeth. "Alright, lets go meet this guy."

He held her hand tenderly and let her do as she wished as he waited.

"I have a few. One is actually a demand. My first is if you believe that the generals relationship with the daughter is too personal and if we should stop it and my next is if you understand the history of the last war. My one demand is too not spread the information we are talking about but than again it is your free will." Hykos replied quietly.

Huluhot sat in his office. He looked at his monitor listening to the news of the attacks. He rested his chin on his hand and rested the other on the holy book. "These are the times that humans need faith the most."

Miranda looked over at him slowly. "Why does it hurt so much?" She asked, her voice weak.

Geoff frowned, that was a lot of questions. "Umm... to answer your first question, I do. I do believe their relationship is too personal, but I don't know if we should stop it. I mean, if they love each other or whatever... do we want to break it up? She is very young though..."

Lee walked into Huluhots office and sat down. He put his feet up on the desk. "This better be important."

"You took a lot of damage from the explosion and fire. Its all hitting you now even though your body is fine. I promise it will disappear." He replied.

Hykos was halfway through drinking his water bottle before he started choking. "Do you believe its love?" He asked again as he tried to catch his breath. "Dram isn't necessarily old but she is young and I'm not sure her father would like this."

Huluhot turned and looked at the man in front of him. He didn't seem to mind Lee's feet on his desk or his bluntness. "I guess I'll work on some easier topics." Huluhot replied as he took two glasses from under his desk and poured wine into each glass." He passed one towards Lee's direction as he sipped his own. "I plan on making a religious district within your city." Huluhot replied. "I understand funds could be a problem but I promise you its a task I can accomplish easily but I understand your hesitation of giving a religious leader more power and my answer to that for you is that you will benefit from the followers who are blind... Faith is one of the few ideologies that humans will murder one another for. It shows how incredibly dangerous and powerful it can be as well as useful and helpful." Huluhot returned his gaze to his monitor.

"Make it stop." Miranda begged. "I can't do this for much longer. It hurts."

"He would hate it." Geoff agreed. "And I don't know if its love. We can't rule it out, can we?"

Lee put his glass down and lent forward. "Religion is an old concept." he said. "Granting your request for an entire district would be a waste of rescourses. I'm afraid I will have to decline." He stood. "Now, if that is all."

"Please..." Huluhot pointed to the seat in front of him. "That isn't my only proposition... You understand I was man who waged the crusades and won against the lies other told. The problem you have stated is that religion is an old concept. People are looking to uproot my power. These people aren't as lenient about me about you. I believe them to be heretics and sinners that must be disposed of. I can offer the funds for this but you must keep your police force from arresting my members or stopping any assassinations." Huluhot waited for an answer.

"Understandable." Huluhot replied and thought for a moment. "Wonder what the dictator will do."

"Just hold on... I promise it will be over soon." Dram held her hand tenderly and stroked her palm.

"If your assasians are good enough, we wouldn't be able to find them, to stop them." Lee commented with a smile.

"Have you ever been in love?" Geoff asked him.

"It hurts." Miranda said. "its like I can hear everything."

"Staying silent is something religion has never done well. I was hoping you could let me borrow one of your task forces just to arrest and execute in private."

Hykos froze. "Twice..." He replied in a tone completely different than of his normal self. It ended in tragedy among myself and my fellow humans.

"Just block it out and listen to me." Dram breathed slowly. "Only my voice."

"Okay, heres the thing." lee stood again. "If, and I'm stressing this If, if I agreed to let you have your own district any executions and aresstes would need my person okay first."

"What happened?" Geoff asked.

Miranda nodded. She looked into his eyes as she began to breathe with him,

"I would never do anything without your consent. You are our leader after all and I will assure that all the religious will follow you with as much passion as they follow God." Huluhot replied. "I only have one more thing but this is for you." Huluhot passed a file across the table. "The file contains a number of people trying to conspire against you and also contains a few people I want to warn you about... You wouldn't be in power without Liquid's demise but even I have my doubts that we really killed him. I've has some sources say he is actually living within this city. I'm sure your intelligence has been looking but Liquid is not a man you should ever consider your ally. I waged war against his fanatical ideas but it seems Satan keeps him alive. I'm sure he has something to do with these explosions today." Huluhot finished his wine.

"My wife died from rare disease and my daughter gained it through genetics. I spent my life working on a cure. It led me too do terrible things. Things I will regret and will never be forgotten." Hykos looked at the floor. "A scar on the earth."

He smiled. "Thank you. I never did apologize for you risking your life for me." He replied.

"I know Liquids not dead." Lee said. "He's too slimy for that." He started to flip through the file. "Thanks for the info." he turned for the door.

"You're making the world better." Geoff said. "That much I know for certain."

"You did it for me." Miranda said softly.

Huluhot nodded. "Preparations for my district will begin immediately. Don't worry. I won't take a large amount of space." Huluhot bowed his head down in thought as Lee left.

"I spread the Ebola virus, forced human beings to become monsters by making them super human, I even help make some of the most devastating weapons on this planet... Its the reason I made the Anti-Nuclear Defense system... Its what kept us alive during the final bombardment."

"I did nothing. You chose your path." He replied. "You chose to help and you chose to live. I did nothing." Dram finished.

"I'll be deciding where you go." Lee said at the door. "And there will be enough space for a single church building and perhaps some apartments, no more."

Geoff frowned. "What else did you do?"

Miranda reached up and touched his cheek. "You saved me."

"As you wish but we may have a meeting in the future again. If you need any guidance I'm sure the lord can lead you." Huluhot smiled. "Religion is the deadliest weapon." Huluhot warned. "Be warned to never try to make it point towards yourself."

"I've don a lot I regret but I still accomplished great things. Cured Cancer and Diabetes and also found a way to regrow skin to burn victims. My early years were my greatest highlights but towards the end I was so focused on saving my daughter that I risked everything and everyone for her."

"You did the same." He replied back. "Are you better now?" He asked.

"Sometimes the people need someone they can look up to when the Lord is absent." Lee said. "Think of Queen Elizabeth. They don't call her rule the Golden Age for nothing." He left.

"How old was she?" Geoff asked.

---

"The voices have stopped." Miranda licked her lips. "Now I can only hear yours."

Huluhot nodded. "Intelligent men can understand but the majority are foolish. They need something because they can't believe in themselves." Huluhot silenced himself in thought and prayer.

"She was in her teens... I lost track... I just don't tend to want to think about them..." Hykos replied. "Feel free to ask questions its just one I will keep to myself.

"Good." He ruffled her hair. "Rest and by the time you wake up you will be home." He assured.

Geoff nodded. He didn't know what else to say.

"Don't treat me like a kid." Miranda said. "Not when I know you'd rather kiss me."

"Sorry... We all make decisions we don't like... I don't tend to feel love anymore... I've changed this earth drastically and have lived to see its effects. Like Einstein I saw the monster I created and I saw it taken advantage of."

Dram froze in shock and couldn't believe what she had just said. Was she serious? He couldn't understand why she felt that way towards him... And yet... He shared the same feelings towards her... He just looked into her eyes.

"I'm waiting." Miranda said softly.

"Thats pretty sad. This world is crap." geoff said. "If we don't have love, why do we live?"

Aran cupped her face and pressed his lips against hers softly. "Thank you." He whispered.

"Well we live because we hope for a better tomorrow. No matter what struggle humans encounter we continue on to look forward." Hykos replied. "Do you believe a man like me should exist?"

She kissed him back gently. "For what?" Miranda asked softly.

"I believe everyone deserves a second chance." Geoff said. "A chance to redeam themselves."

"For everything." He smiled and held the kiss for a moment longer. He than let go and kissed her forehead. "Now sleep." He ruffled her hair again.

"I only helped myself." Hykos replied. "I was once the most intelligent man but now I'll be remembered as the one who nearly wiped humanity."

Miranda took hold of his hand. "Stay with me, okay? Just until my Dad comes."

"At least you'll be remembered right?" Geoff tried to lighten the mood.

Aran couldn't believe what was happening. Had he fallen for the most powerful man's daughter. What would happen when he found out?

"I guess. I've shaped our future but I'm not sure if I've made a future I can be proud of... Although I believe I can try to fix some of the damage I have created. I've been recently trying to hunt down some of the soldiers I experimented on. Those who choose not to live a good life shoudln't take advantage of what I should have never given them."

Miranda looked at him. "Dad wont find out. We wont let him."
