"No, you wont." Miranda shook her head. "You will do as you wish and do you wish to have a friend?"

Ariel shook her head and still held onto him. "I don't think you'd hurt me."

"What do you mean?" Elizabeth asked

"I don't know." Euchre replied. "My views are seen as bad and others are viewed as good." Euchre replied.

"Well Ari probably would kill me." Katsu replied.

"Grey Fox is a sentient being who used to be human and was transferred into that body with a computer recreated brain. Katsu was supposed to be something similar. Grey Fox wouldn't be here if the numbers weren't here. He is a spy sent to scout. Since he found us people we highly dislike will appear."

"I just want your view." Miranda said. "Reguardless of what you think I will think."

"So i am safe." Ariel nodded.

Elizabeth looked confused.

"I just don't wish to be in pain..." Euchre replied confusedly.

"Your safe because of her." He pointed at Elizabeth as nurses and doctors surrounded them.

"Basically nothing good." Ari replied as they placed Jin'ichi on a stretcher.

Miranda held his face. "I promise you, you are not."

"I'm just safe." Ariel said. "You protected us."

Elizabeth let out a large sigh.

"I will try." Euchre replied he than looked at her. "... You grab my face a lot." He sweatdropped.

"I'm only created to fight. I did my job." He replied.

"I'm sorry from now on you can live normal lives." Ari replied as she looked all of them over.

"It seems to be the only way to get you to understand." Miranda said.

Ariel nodded. "And you helped."

"Can we?" Elizabeth asked with disbelief. "Because I am starting to doubt it."

He turned red and looked away. "Its completely fine. I owe you much more than I could repay anyways."

"Yes I don't think you want to get involved with us after this. We will begin preparations for thins we will regret." Ari replied as she began bandaging herself. Jin'ichi was already beginning to be operated on.

"I help myself." Katsu replied.

"We are beginning to place the city under siege and plan to attack its inner walls. The underground city will be penetrated and defeated." Said one man confidently.

"We are breaching a contract with the two other nations about our boundaries! We cannot do this!!" Said a man desperately.

"And what? Let our people starve to death? The answer is obvious. Yes we may have technology to sustain ourselves but even with a population smaller than the other nations we are struggling to produce minerals we so desperately need. We just plan on taking over any boundary states to support our people. If they don't like it we dare them to attack."

The last man was praised with applause and as he looked at the others he told them to silence. "We still need to promote peace."

The room quieted down and everyone turned toward the voice.

The man just smiled.

Miranda frowned. "Sometimes I just want to hit you."

Elizabeth shook her head. " We will stay, at least for awhile."

"I don't believe that for a second." Ariel smiled.

"And how will we gain this peace?" A woman asked as she appeared from the shadows. "Through religion, through force? What is your concept of peace?"

He closed his eyes as if ready to take a hit.

The doctor laughed. "Don't worry. It will take him to get adjusted to things." The man replied.

"Now you want to stay? What is with the change?" Ari replied. She led them into a small room within the hospital that had a few beds and some warm food. Katsu sat down and began poking at his injuries as Ari sat at another.

The man turned off his speaker and began to look at the monitor in front of him as new laws were presenting themselves. "Well if humans never existed you would have no religion, war or this insane lack of intelligence. Only through wiping out every man on this planet can we truly have peace." The man drank his wine and watched as the senators began talking about their next action to expand. He raised his lenses and finally turned around. "I find nothing better than vote for our senate to cause enough chaos to finally bring a war which will end us. I despise our species so much with what we have accomplished. The greatest thing we can do for anything is to not let our destruction go on any further."

"Anyways I rarely have anyone come into my chamber office and ask me questions. Are you an assassin sent to kill me or are you some employee who is curious on what I wish to accomplish?" He sipped a bit more of his wine and swished the wine in its glass.

"Neither." The woman said. "Or, maybe I am both. It depends on my mood." She sat down and made herself comfortable.

"For one, we wont be safe where ever we go." Elizabeth said.

"I really didn't know what I was getting into." Miranda sighed and flicked Euchre's nose.

"Where do you hail from? Core, Federation, the nations, or the numerous rebels, city states, or assassins which roam around." The man replied and a monitor appeared before him. He quickly read it and pressed a button. It turned green and immediately disappeared. "So what is your mood currently?" He asked.

"True, we can offer protection but danger does follow us." Ari replied and offered them water bottles.

"Is that bad? He may teach you a lot." The doctor replied smiling.

Euchre just rubbed his nose and turned toward the doctor. "I learned from my masters books whenever I could." He replied.

"You ask a lot of questions for a man who hates the general populace." The woman said. "I will tell you what I believe you will need to know."

"And what if that danger follows my daughter and I?" Elizabeth said. "I can't protect us."

Miranda just sighed.

"You can't truly hate something if you do not know it." The man replied. "I even plan on finishing myself in the end but that is at a later time. Until I can achieve what I wish I must live out this dull and boring life." He replied as a screen appeared before him again and this time the document turned red. "If you don't wish me too know I will find out. Information dealers are rampant among the nations cities."

"We will and with Rain you should be capable. Why did Rain bring you too us?" Ari asked as Katsu began to eat a ridiculous amount of beef jerky.

The sound of a crash was soon interrupted as the familiar scent of smoke replaced it. The doctor stood from his desk and began to try and put it out but it seemed the fire grew with the sound of more crashes.

Euchre's eyes widened and he quickly tried to help the doctor and began to use his own hands to put out the fire.

"Even for those who do not exist?" The woman smirked.

Miranda hit him. "Grab a blanket or some buckets or something!" She snapped at him. She began to try and stomp out what she could.

"No idea." Elizabeth said.

"You got me there." He shrugged. "Still, I have power which is clearly visible and even if you may have connections I do as well." The man loosened his collar. "The nations will not be pleased about someone within this city who technically doesn't exist."

Euchre grabbed his head. People could be heard roaring and screaming as the fire began to spread.

The doctor knew it was no hope and tried to open the main doors but realized they were blocked.

Ari remained silent. "Well just rest. I assure you Rain will be fine but he probably is repairing his whole self. You will have all his powers so I believe you at least needn't worry currently of anything aweful happening."

"The nations wont be pleased about what I know, and what I can find out." The woman smirked with an almopst cat like look to it.

Miranda swore loudly. She looked to the men. "Get ready to catch me." She closed her eyes and focused on every particale of the flames and slowly brought them down lower and lower until they almost did not exist.

Elizabeth nodded/

"You human?" He asked with an almost certainty that the answer was a 'no'. "I'm completely fine with the nations. I don't understand what you are planning to do with them but as long as I can use their technology to my advantage I believe I should be fine." He replied as if her statement hadn't phased him.

The fires were immediately extinguished with only burn marks left in their place. Euchre looked confused but stood behind Miranda as the doctor stood a bit surprised.

Katsu went over and looked at Elizabeth. "What Ari is basically saying is we believe we will all die. Rain is in critical condition and we believe he may pass his powers on to you. If you decide to join, betray or do as you please we will not stop you but war will begin and all we can do is try to prevent it but the last time we lost a ridiculous amount of people and with our numbers now I hardly believe we can stop our extinction but we will at least destroy those who are the worst of this world."

Miranda's nose began to bleed. She began to sway in place as she opened her eyes. She was getting stronger, not by much though.

"He wont die." Elizabeth said. He couldn't She couldn't handle that kind of responsibility, and she didn't want to. "But I will help however I can."

"Their technology is far outdated, and slightly faulty." The woman said as she stood. "I wouldn't be surprised if we start feeling the evidence of their manufratcuring in three...two...one."

The doctor revealed a secret cellar and ushered them through it. "Do not worry! They will not do anything to me but you two must go!!" He replied as he shut the door as the sound of shouting drew closer.

Euchre began to run with Miranda. He held her close as they ran through the tunnel. He looked at her worriedly but couldn't stop.

Katsu grinned. "I state our odds bluntly. With the previous war we had nearly a hundred times our current numbers and the funds to support ourselves. Currently we only have a select few elite and only gain support of those who befriend us."

"Hm?" The man tilted his head. "Please show me."

Miranda held onto him. She was feeling very weak and had the worst headache imaginable.

"I'm sure you'll be getting reports about their machines going down, weapons misfiring and all the rest very soon." The woman smirked.

Elizabeth sighed and sat down. "This is too much."

Euchre continued to run until the lights above them soon turned too darkness and the tunnel began to feel like a cave. Euchre slowed and felt his way forward.

"Its fine. Machines get fixed, weapons are replaced, and the rest we can deal with. Even if our technology isn't perfect we did retain most after the war. It is still helpful and more advance than anything our enemies can construct." The man drank his wine again. "Why do you care if the nation collapses or not?"

"Sorry." Ari replied. "Its fine. We can take care of our own." She replied and looked at Katsu. "I'll be sending him out to make sure no more surprises are lurking about. If they are trying to siege this city they will fail."

"I don't." The woman said. "I would prefer it if you would all destroy yourselves, but someone will always come out on top."

Miranda soon passed out.

Elizabeth nodded. She was suddenly feeling very tired/

Euchre stopped as soon as he couldn't see any longer. He placed Miranda carefully on the floor and ripped a small part of her shirt to remember her scent. He needed to remember where she was but also where they were at. He began to explore the caves. The deeper he entered the more it seemed familiar. He stopped as he heard something close. He soon realized that he was next to Miranda again. He looked at her a bit confused and realized that he made a large circle. He began to question as he heard something above. He reached up and felt something. As he pulled on it it creaked but revealed a slit in front of him. His eyes burned but he soon walked over and looked over.

It was instantly familiar. The cages, the large room, the dead. He stumbled back as if all the horrid memories rushed back.

"You can rest." Ari replied.

Katsu began to inspect his wounds further and peeling off any debris which had entered his skin.

Miranda awoke a few hours later. Her head was killing her.

Elizabeth lay back with her child. It was moments before theyf ell asleep.
