Elizabeth smiled. "I take it you are fond of that memory."

Miranda took it. "Thank you." She turned and left.

"I've tried and as I revealed in my video. He isn't ill equipped. Even a complete surprise attack didn't phase him and I made sure it was unknown to him but he can be defeated. He relies to much on others reacting the way they do. He is a tactician." 13 replied.

"I am. Something I never had before." Jin'ichi replied.

Euchre followed as Liquid watched. He stood motionless as they left. Euchre followed. He glanced occasionally at Miranda too make sure she was alright.

"I was talking about Hykos' group." Lee said. "If someone could and they managed to hack into the records, then we could be in a lot of trouble reguarding Project X."

Elizabeth smiled. "But how can I make you into a monster?"

Miranda's head was down in thought. Ever since she was taken by Liquid she had killed more than she had ever wanted. Sh hated that.

"I'm the only person who knows any extensive details on anything I work on. I've given some people faux or outdated information but nothing you should be concerned about. People we should worry are my own colleagues during the CORE and U.N. Era. I had three others who I helped to pursue our goals during that time and they probably have enough knowledge that I posses. I believe one is helping Keidran's for free, another has long disappeared and thought to be dead, and the last one is still working with the U.N. All are dangerous men and ones I have known for a long time. I won't question that they are some of the most intelligent ones on this planet. I have no clue with what they have done with their information but I do know that I got parts which were beneficial to your project that they do not have access too." Hykos replied.

The machine finally buzzed. It had processed all of Geoff's information and began to glow violently. A small holographic figure of Hykos walked back and forth waiting to be answered.

"It depends. Cause hatred and I ill be so. Cause happiness and it will happen. Cause sadness and it will happen as well. My kind used this to groom soldiers, thinkers and workers. It was a very easy system and one which has worked well before we were wiped out." Jin'ichi replied. "Now why are you smiling like that?"

"Forget the pain." Euchre replied. "Forget him its causing you anguish."

Geoff sat back. He had forgotten about this thing, as well as what the question was.

Lee nodded slowly.

---

"Because I enjoyed the kiss as well." Elizabeth said.

"Its not that easy for me." Miranda said

"If I have given this to you I have deemed you worthy of some information. More than I just revealed before. That was just fake information to remove all suspicion." The Hykos miniature stopped moving and opened something within his hand. "This is probably the information you are seeking. I've been working on multiple projects including everything from new diseases and increasing human efficiency too efficient viruses and robotic technology. While I cannot tell you all my information since knowledge is power I ask of you what you wish to know of me. If you truly want to know everything you need to help me. Currently even with Lee's resources I have been having trouble keeping my daughter alive. If you want to know more please ask me in person where its much safer. This is Hykos new programming feature. A list below can help fix any problems you may have." The voice said as it shut down.

Hykos nodded. "Trust me. I am gaining knowledge in this world Lee. And you of all people must understand that knowledge is power in this world. If you have any more questions ask away but I will tell you that your daughter shouldn't have had survived it. I still swear by it. I will find the cause to this though. It intrigues me as much as it does you."

Jin'ichi's markings turned purple. "Uhh...?" He didn't know what to say.

"I know. I'm sorry. I don't know what to do." Euchre replied as he stopped.

"Lets just keep walking." Miranda said.

Geoff sighed. So the information was useless? Great.

Elizabeth chuckled.

Euchre followed. "I will do what I can to make you happy but you must listen. As someone who gave themselves freely for others I can't see you like this." Euchre replied.

A ridiculous amount of facts, charts, procedures, and sequences revealed themselves around Geoff. Suddenly a large robotic eye stared at him. "What would you like to know Mr. Geoff?" The machine replied in a monotone voice that sounded both male and female.

Jin;ichi tripped and fell over multiple wires and cables. "Sorry!"

"What do you mean?" Miranda asked.

"Ahh, I guess anything that I could help with." Geoff said. "And I've been hearing the colleagues talk about a project X?"

"You okay?!" Elizabeth asked. Ariel suddenly shook awake and looked around wildly.

"It pains me greatly to see you suffer..." Euchre replied. "You have no idea how much i want to take the pain from you. If I could somehow obtain it and suffer it alone." Euchre looked at her. "I owe you much but the reason I have stayed is because of your kindness. Don't be cold and uncaring like that man. Don't lose yourself."

"Project X... Calculating risk factor of subject... Scanning... Any information we reveal may be harmful to the longevity of your life. A warning for beings who fear for their lives. Project X actually started in the last great wars. The U.N. ordered funds for a private sector to specialize on testing humans and continuing Hykos' original plan on altering the human body to be capable of doing radical things at the times. The base for the project was a surviving old experiment that was deemed Liquid. It was one of the subjects to originally survive. It was used as a base for further testing. It eventually led to Miranda. Her creation was to be a perfect subject for the tenth generation of modifications. An easy way to remember why her project name was X. The tenth generation is much more powerful than previous generations or the originals. Providing power at the cost of human sanity. It was the reason the U.N. stopped the program long ago for fear that any humans instilled with this would go insane. Miranda is the perfect subject to see how a human can survive with such intense brain stimulation. Unfortunately test subject has not been followed up on and we have no further information but reports say that Liquid has gained her. We only believe that is 98.7 percent accurate. So we will not make a complete answer. Any details you inquire?"

"I'm fine!" Jin'ichi turned blue. "It is my fault for not seeing where I'm going." He began to push anything off of him.

"I'll try not to." Miranda told him. "I'll really try."

"Why create her at all?" Geoff asked. "Why give her the free will??"

Elizabeth frowned slightly.

"Can I do anything?" Euchre asked as he walked next to her side.

---

"The creation is not shared with me. Lee only wanted it accomplished." The eye moved rapidly around Geoff as it scanned him and looked at him. "Hykos believed that keeping her controlled would only harm her and make her a less viable candidate. Revealing how controlled Liquid was and how he managed to escape and cause mayhem. Controlling her would only be necessary if she betrayed us. As of now it may be an option. Especially with how highly dangerous she may be."

Jin'ichi smiled embarrassingly as a another metal stand fell on his head. "Not my luck I believe."

"Not just now." Miranda offered him a small smile.

"What was the final purpose of these experiments?" Geoff asked.

---

Ariel laughed.

He smiled. "Thats what I needed to see but are you sure? As of now we should set up camp as its getting dark. I can smell water and a more woody area to our right if your interested."

"Not understandable. Even as an artificial intelligence I even question these motives. Lee is very secretive but my views would be for himself, military use or pschological warfare." The eye scanned him one last time. "Hykos is interested in you for some reason. He wants to meet you soon."

Jin'ichi smiled. "I'm glad I can bring some form of happiness."

Miranda nodded. "Very interested."

---

"Why is he interested in me?" geoff frowned.

---

Ariel giggled. "You're funny."

Elizabeth smiled at her daughter

Euchre grabbed her and began to lead her the way. He jumped and slid off rocks and continued to move while being careful with Miranda. He made sure she didn't lose her footing and as they neared some woods the sound of water began to enter their ears.

"That is a question I need to ask of you." The computer replied. "I don't understand this either."

"Thank you Jin'ichi smiled. "I'm happy for your daughter."

"I am so thirsty." Miranda breathed into his neck as she clung close to him.

Geoff shrugged. he had no idea.

Ariel giggled again

He felt her breathe. It surprised him how it felt. He stopped after a while and poked her though. In front of them was a small waterfall and a very large lake. "The water from the waterfall is clean. If you also require a bath just do so. I will start a fire and start cooking food."

A knock sounded from Geoff's door.

---

Jin'ichi brushed himself off and looked at Ariel. "You need to go to sleep." He rubbed her hair. "The funny man will be here protecting you. I promise."

Miranda nodded and went over to the waterfall. She removed her clothes and slid into the water.

Geoff frowned and turned off his computer before answering.

---

Ariel nodded and curled back into her mother.

Euchre placed wood on the ground and began to make a fire. He glanced at her to make sure she was alright.

Hykos stood at the door.

---

"I'm glad she's happy." Jin'ichi smiled.

Miranda let the water run over her body. It felt good to have the cool liquid sooth her tired limbs.

Geoff rose an eyebrow. "Everything okay?"

"Me too." Elizabeth said.

As Euchre began to cook food he couldn't help looking at her. "Do you need anything?" He asked.

---

Blood began to leak through Hykos's clothing and he stumbled in. Radec followed quickly behind him.

---

Jin'ichi opened a bottle and handed it to her. It contained a small mist that swirled slowly. "This gives good dreams and will make your daughter forget what she saw. Ari bought it for you."

Geoff swore and quickly placed Hykos on the table, ready to heal him.

"I was a little hard on her." Elizabeth said as she helped her young daughter drink.

---

"Nothing but this water." Miranda said as the water washed over her curves.

Radec walked thoughout the room and looked around. "Lee has made me keep a watchful eye on Mr. Hykos. Even though Mr. Lee probably won't agree with my tactics on how I monitor people I believe Hykos will get the point that I am not afraid to murder to keep him in line." Radec walked around the room and finally stopped at Geoff. He looked from his gas mask at the table. "Hykos will be under house arrest and I will personally pay for any funds you may need to house him. His wound should not kill him but if he does die I will send a casket if you need it." Radec tossed a wallet onto the floor and some medical supplies. "Hykos told me to bring him to you. I don't understand any connection you two may have but after I leave he is your problem." Radec replied as he left the room.

Hykos twitched and grabbed his chest.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know this would happen. All those reports. This is a massive scale attack." Jinichi whispered as he watched.

"I thought you were thirsty!" He replied and smiled.

"Extremely." Miranda smiled at him.

"Who were those friends you mentioned coming?" Elizabeth asked.

Geoff swore again and set about fixig his wounds.
