RP Place of RP

Euchre cried out as the blood singed his back.

As Liquid began to fire more shots a hand launched out and grabbed Liquid by the arm and began to drag him towards the fire.

"Oh fuck." Miranda swore. She quickly grabbed a gun and began to shot at the hand.

The hand convulsed on the ground. It was connected by a long cable and suddenly pulled its way back into the fire. Another soon launched toward Miranda.

Miranda moved out of the way and fired another round at the hand. She took a deep breath and began to focus on diminishing the fire long enough to get everyone out.

The hand pulled back and dragged itself along the ground. As the fire scorched the shadow of a person lurched through it.

The man had parts of him charred with fragments of metal covering a side of his face. He seemed a bit aged but with each step he seemed less human. His arms snapped back into place and tubes and circuitry ran throughout his body. He rubbed his arm as he looked at the others. A pained expression on his face. He than turned his arm at the small group in front of him and his hand began to pour out fire.

Miranda watched and right before the fire hurt the group in front of him, she pushed everyone out of the way. The full blow of the flames hit her. She let out a pained scream.

Euchre's eyes widened and he immediately blocked her.

Liquid cussed and charged the being. He rammed his fist deep into its face as it turned and launched its arm through Liquid's chest.

Miranda couldn't even push him away. Her skin was hot and bubbling. She was in more pain than she cared to admit and what scared her most was that she was now helpless, and her only friend could be dying for her. She hated that.

Elizabeth sat up against the seat as she soothed her frightened daughter back to sleep. Ariel refused to close her eyes, afraid of what her dreams would bring.

Ayama loaded a gun and handed it to the man before her. "Do you know how to use it?"

Liquid stumbled flinched as the machine tried to remove its arm from Liquid's body but as it pulled Liquid grinned. Its arm was frozen in place. Liquid began to repeatedly pummel his hand against its head as he cast a glance at Miranda.

'Shit... This thing isn't targeting me.' Liquid thought as the being launched its arm and pushed Liquid into a nearby wall and ripped its arm from his body. Liquid gasped and clenched at his wound. The being turned back at the group.

Liquid rapidly began to go through his options. It was ridiculous. Each resulted in an outcome he couldn't afford.

Euchre began to growl. His body was drenched in blood and began to drip over Miranda as he covered her body. Euchre trembled as he looked at the being. He was almost feral and as Liquid ran out of options. Euchre charge into the being and began to tackle it into the fire.

Ari looked at Elizabeth and Ariel. She looked down at her lap silently and sat unmoving in her chair. She desperately wanted to help but with what currently happened she felt she had only caused more harm than good.

Katsu was also silent in his corner inspecting his wounds. Unlike the others he denied medical attention and seemed to be angered. He was aging and even though he was relatively young his body was stressed to insane levels. He wasn't healing as fast as he used too.

Jin'ichi was being operated on and Ari could barely hear the explosions erupting above the city.

She couldn't believe she could let this happen. She used to organize a movement for the good and for what was best but now it lay in ruins and was not even a fragment of what it used too. It was shattered and only supported by those who put faith in it long ago.

She brung her knees up too her chest and placed her head down. She wanted to close her eyes.

"I believe I forgot. I don't even remember what the sun looks like." Kill joked. He took it carefully and flinched a bit. He hated the fact that it felt usual for him to hold a weapon for murder. It disgusted him but he immediately erased any look of uneased and revealed his faux joke attitude. He didn't know what to expect but he could offer assistance. Casualties would happen though and he knew of all things he couldn't save everyone.

"No!" Miranda cried as he felt his body move away from hers. She tried to go after him.

Ayama frowned. "I meant, do you know how to use it blinded?"

Elizabeth looked up at the others as she soothed her daughter,

Euchre used all his force to smash the being against the wall and began to tear it to pieces. The being raised its arm and aimed it at Euchre's chest like it did previously with Liquid.

Liquid immediately grabbed and held Miranda back and as the being revved up its shot blood erupted everywhere.

Euchre stumbled back to his feet.

A familiar face walked over and pushed Euchre away.

A small explosion blew debris in the air and as it cleared the being looked over at its new opponent.

Jiasca aimed what appeared to be a modified nailgun. The being was already missing parts of its arm. A piece which was still nailed to the wall behind it but the rest disappearing with the explosion that the nail seemed to have cost.

"Blind?" Kill looked at her as if she was joking.

---

"I guess you believe we are pathetic. Not what we were once. People who actually helped and made a difference. We are suffering the wounds of this war and the last. Our failures are beginning to show. Our weaknesses... Its nothing like it used too. I'm sorry for what your daughter had to see. I tried to defend her but I fear I may have damaged her." Ari looked at her arm which was pierced.

Katsu just grumbled on how he was only becoming more dangerous and nothing could stop him.

"I think feeling sorry for yourself isn't going to help anyone." Elizabeth snapped at her.

Miranda struggled to the best of her abilities. Her burned body held her back from much of a fight.

"We're going for a walk." Ayama readied her own gun. "And where we're going there wont be any lights."

"I'm just dissatisfied with the events." Ari replied. "I'm becoming more like Liquid with each day... Resorting too tactics that aren't right and asking of things people cannot accomplish." She whispered.

Jiasca fired another round into the chest and that caused it to break through the wall. Jiasca motioned for them to move quickly as another explosion erupted. Soldiers were outside helping them move forward as parts of the city were on fire, people screaming, and people trying to push against the soldiers lines.

"I don't like the sound of that. Flashlights an option?" Kill asked. "And I feel very bare without much equipment on me." Kill replied.

"If you want to work with me then you have to work like me." Ayama said. "And I don't work with lights."

"Then don't." Elizabeth said. "If you hate the way it is done, change it."

---

Miranda looked to Liquid, unsure what to do.

"Fine. These guns aren't silenced, right? We will at least be able to see the muzzle flash?" Kill was hoping to at least fire ridiculously if they encountered anyone.

Ari smiled and looked down. "I can try. Is she alright?" Ari referred to Ariel.

---

"Just keep moving and ignore the sounds." Liquid replied. As the group hustled forward the being groaned and charged into a part of the line. It began to tear men in half as they fired upon it. It began to spew out more flames and the citizens began to run and scream.

"Are you scared of the dark?" Ayama rose an eyebrow.

Miranda winced and closed her eyes as she tried to walk. She was in so much pain.

"She will be. She's a strong girl." Elizabeth said.

"Most things that have nearly killed me were in the dark." Kill replied. "As something designed to survive death you can understand how brutal and painful it must have been." Kill replied. "I can literally still feel the pain." He replied and poked her side to usher her forward. "I usually have a faux personality in front of most people. Disregard any times I break that personality." Kill immediately knew she would probably smack him for poking her.

The mob grew angrier as they saw that they were saving Keidran. They grew more into a fury as the being trudged forward murdering anything in its path. It seemed to slow but wouldn't stop.

Euchre felt a fist against his face and a knife at his ear as he moved forward. He had forgotten how much he was hated. He pushed forward behind Miranda.

Jiasca had tried to keep as much people back. One side of her face was scorched but she ignored it as she yelled at others to keep them back.

Liquid reached the vehicle and ushered Miranda in. He turned and ripped his arm open. Water spilled onto the ground and it lashed out toward the creature.

Jiasca helped Euchre in and began to man the gun.

Liquid's blood wrapped around the being and he viciously dragged it against the ground before flinging the being towards an empty vehicle. The soldiers and citizens began to panic and flee and Liquid dashed into the back of the vehicle as it began to speed of.

"She shouldn't experience this." Ari replied.

Katsu mumbled. He didn't particularly like just waiting and seemed anxious. He wanted to get out there.

Miranda shifted as she held her burnt body against itself. She started to close her eyes.

Ayama turned around and aimed her gun at his family jewels. "They may grow back, but if you poke me one more damn time I will make sure they disappear every time they do."

"But she is." Elizabeth said. "So we need to deal with it."

Euche held her. "You'll be alright." He whispered in her ear.

---

"Point taken." Kill grinned. "So I have a few questions for you. They aren't anything you should be afraid to answer."

"Reminds me of my childhood. Wasn't the perfect picture everybody wants." Ari replied. "She will be safe though. Always..."

"I'll never be alright." Miranda said. "Not after what I saw... not after what I look like."

"When you get the right to ask questions, I'll let you know." Ayama said.
---

Elizabeth didn't answer.

"You saw what I have to deal with. What I am. What I need to do. And what I can accomplish." Liquid's voice echoed throughout the car. "I sacrificed more than you know for your lives. I will do what is necessary to win." Liquid's voice fell silent.

Euche just stroked her hair. "I don't care what you look like and I'll help you forget what you saw." He replied.

Jiasca just looked at them and told the driver to hurry. She radioed in for any assistance.

"I'm sorry. The city has gone to hell. All medical personal are either dead or helping the injured. You must do as much as you can. We will hold the border and the people under the control. We have mass strikes coming in from the north and reinforcements from the southwest. Hold out as long as possible!"

Jiasca cursed. She told the driver to transfer them to a camp. She'd half to help anyway she could.

"I can't ask? Well is the name Luca important?" Kill asked.

---

Rain appeared in front of Elizabeth and fell slumped on the floor. The other two looked at him and rushed to his side.

Miranda smiled softly. "You're sweet." She told Euchre.

Ayama froze. "Why are you bringing that name up?"

---

Elizabeth frowned and sat upright.

"You helped me. I want to do the same." Euchre replied.

Jiasca stopped at an apartment complex and carried Miranda herself into the building with Euchre and Liquid. She immediately began asking for supplies and tools from soldiers at the camp.

"Your friend gave me that name. I want to know what it means." Kill replied. "If you reveal that secret I'll gladly reveal anything."

---

Rain grumbled and sat up. He pushed the others away and looked at Elizabeth. "You need to take my powers." He coughed. "I need to get rid of this."

Miranda started to drink off.

"Luca was the only man I ever loved." Ayama said.

---

"No." Elizabeth said. "I refuse/"

Jiasca went into the barracks closely followed by Euchre and Liquid. "Stay with me Miranda!" She said as she bursted through the room.

Every possible weapon in the room was pointed at them.

"Sit down... I believe I can help your friends if you react calmly." A gender less voice responded to them. It sounded robotic and empty but persuasive.

Liquid pulled a weapon but people from behind pushed rifles against them.

"Heal her than!" Euchre pleaded.

"What happened to him?" Kill asked.

"You won't help change the future?" Rain replied as he got to his feet. "You won't try?"
